Headaches of Freetown Traffic

One of my greatest frustrations of city life is seconded by dirty clog streets is traffic. Authorities has done everything to control the traffic but it shows no sign of letting up. My resident to the centre of the city is 30 kilometre drive which can take over two hours - longer than it would take for the average pedestrian to walk the same distance.
I tried with my friends to unravel the problem of these taffic jam, we came up with these conclusions;
1. The growing population. Cities keep up growing relentlessly, and about half the world's population live in urban area.

2. Increase number of Vehicles. There is a direct relationship between the increase population and increase number of vehicles. Everyone wants to used his car rather than public transport

Other factors that lead up to traffic are lack of parking facility

I have found a simple solution to these traffic jam.
For a short distance, I walk or cycle and for long distance, I use public transport.

Sierra Leone Road Transport Authority should follow what the British Transport do to ease up the traffic jams. Payment of congestion fine for those cars that want to enter the city centre

Daily Living

I wakeup early to catch what I will eat for the day and that will sustain me through the night also. The first thing I engage in the morning is to carry loads of petty trader to their selling point, stall and shop. If you wakeup late there is no work for you for that morning. What a life. How we fight over this loads. (To be continue)
